Description: This simple and fascinating dry ice experiment uses only a few items but creates a magnificent reaction. Watch how the ice turns into a gas and produces a smoky or steamy effect. It may remind you of an erupting volcano or even a steam train. Even though it produces a wonderful gassy reaction, it is not hot like you may think it would be. ⭕ Materials: - Water bottle (with a sports cap) - Dry ice - Gloves - A cup of water - Food colouring - Funnel ⭕ Instructions: (1) Firstly, remove the lid from the water bottle and place some dry ice inside. (2) Put that to one side and get your cup of water. Add a few drops of food colouring to the water. (3) Next, place the funnel inside the water bottle. Begin to pour the coloured water into the bottle. (4) Remove the funnel and watch the smoky reaction! (5) Then add the open cap back onto the bottle and see it steam like a train! #TheDadLab #scienceteacher #homeschool Dry ice should ALWAYS be handled with gloves, and eye protection must be worn. Never place dry ice in airtight containers. Only use in a place with proper ventilation. ===================================================== ➜ TheDadLab on Facebook: facebook.com/thedadlab ➜ TheDadLab on Instagram: instagram.com/thedadlab ➜ TheDadLab on Twitter: twitter.com/thedadlab ➜ TheDadLab on Pinterest: pinterest.com/thedadlab ➜ Website: thedadlab.com ===================================================== Please subscribe to see more upcoming videos bit.ly/ThedadlabOnYoutube
